OMG everyone! Finally they posted the new art on the PBR website. Please go check out my PBR latch-hook and say you like it. This is my first art contest EVER and I’m so totally excited about the whole thing! Here’s the link.

Oh, and here’s the piece just one more time. :)

Vote for happy delusions

Please go online and vote for happy delusions, “2010 Best of Renton”. It’s easy, just go to the Renton Reporter, and the icon is in the upper right hand corner. You do have to fill out your name and address, then if you would all go to the page that asks for the best gift shop / specialty store, please put happy delusions down there.

Then go to the Renton Chamber Website and do the same. Again, it’s in the upper right hand corner and is titles in blue, “Nominate a Business”. On this one you do NOT need to fill out your name or anything, just vote happy delusions for Best Customer Service, and for Outstanding Business Under 10 Employee’s.

Thanks in Advance!

Yum, Beaver, Cupcake!

happy delusions just got in a huge order from Blue Q! Included our my favorite, shoppers and handy totes woven from 95% recycled materials.  Below are my top 3.

This cutie sandwich is ideal for any PB&J made with love. And how can one go wrong with a brite yellow beaver tote? Seriously? And last is the shopper with the assembly of cupcake properties. Perfect for large carried items such as an order of cupcakes from Common Ground!

Seattle Sundries

Seattle Sundries feature an array of all natural products made right here in Washington. Thru EtsyRain, we are fortunate enough to carry these wonderful smelling soaps designed to fit in the palm of your hand. Each comes in a round tin with artwork portraying a different theme making a perfect gift for yourself or someone you would love to see naturally clean.

Tie purses and more…

I am loving these tie purses by Trizanh. Anh has traditionally done knit purses, and recently started experimenting with more. Although I do love her knit purses, The tie ones just stand out a little more for peeps needing that extra flair of personality by way of accessories. Anh’s beautiful knit bags are a perfect size for a night on the town and have nice soft colors that match the smooth texture of the yarn. Either way you really can’t go wrong because all of her items are made with lots of love and attention. She lines all her purses and with nice fabrics that compliment the outside. She even goes as far as to include nice cell phone pockets. What a nice lady.

handmade comedy!

This Tuesday, March 16th from 8 – 9:30, at The Comedy Underground. The Etsy Rain team will be knit’n up some wears while gettin their comedy on. handmade comedy is a benefit for the “Friends of Orphans“, which  provides financial and volunteer support and have orphan homes in nine different countries including Haiti. So get down there and knit away the night, as the place will be full of like-minded crafters with a heart to help those in need. They are hoping that everyone in the audience will join in. How cool is that. Go team Etsy Rain. Seriously, these ladies ROCK!!!!

Yarn Bombed Bus

OMG! Is this not the coolest thing EVER! I just came across it on this blog, Visual Culture.

Artist, Magda Sayeg covered a bus in Mexico City with yarn. She has yarn bombed all over, including Seattle in 2006. Click here to see what she did, and be sure to check the website for more of her amazing craft. I mean seriously those are a done of Afghans on the sides of that bus. Seriously crazy, and I love it mucho.
