Helping the world one bag at a time.
Just in! Fair trade recycled bags made in Cambodia helps enable men, women, and children who have been trafficked, impoverished or abandoned to be reintegrated back into society. The STOPstart program is great! Stop the Trafficking. Start a new life. As written on the tag, “Hagar Designs creates beautiful and unique accessories that help disadvantaged women secure income and significantly improve their quality of life through training and employment. Your purchase of this product contributes to the support of Hagar’s social program.” Now how cool is that.

Made from recycled rice and feed bags on both the inside and outside, so not only will you sport a cool image on the outside, but when you look inside it’s equally as rad.
Craft Swap!
CRAFTswap Sunday, September 26th from 1p – 4p. Happy Delusions, 924 S. 3rd St. Renton WA. 98057.
One person’s old stack of craft supplies could be another person’s pile of inspiration! Bring any used or unused craft or art supplies and swap them for FREE!!!!
Remember when you were gonna start making jewelry, but then found you weren’t into it. All that supply you bought will be perfect for someone else, just think you can snag up someone else’s yarn because really you just want to knit. Oh wait! I think I’m talking about me. So I know what I’m bringing, and hoping to take home.
Any supplies left over at the end of the day will be donated to our local Salvation Army. Think of it as a great way to clear out space for supply you might actually use, instead of hanging on to those trinkets that you haven’t been able to get rid of because you know they could be perfect for some craft that you’ll never do.
Suggestions of things to bring; fabric scraps or remnants, scrapbooking supplies, rubber stamps, kids crafts, craft storage, beads, jewelry supplies, yarn, thread, stickers, sewing notions, anything that might inspire or be used in handmade crafts.
And be sure to let Me know if you bring something to swap so you can receive a $5.00 gift card to the store. Oh yeah! You win twice when you come to happy delusions.
Oh, and be sure to give a great big hug to Kelly of tomato tomato design + print because this wouldn’t be happening without her, and she’s basically one of the biggest rockstars I know. Thanks Kell!
Piazza Renton Fall Festival Looking for Artists.
Piazza Renton FALL Festival 2010
We hope that you can join us for the 2010 Renton FALL Festival! DEADLINE EXTENDED to September 17th!
The Fall Festival event will take place on Saturday, October 9, 2010 from 10 am to 4 pm with set-up starting at 8:00 a.m. The event is located at the Piazza Renton park in Downtown Renton on South 3rd between Logan and Burnett Ave s (near the Metro transit Terminal).
Piazza Renton has become well known for its activities and events in downtown Renton. If you’ve ever attended our Farmer’s Market, held in the same space, you’ll know that each week the market is very well attended. While our Fall Festival is smaller than that, it is a popular event! The Chamber of Commerce holds their annual business expo—at the same time, but inside the pavilion, which draws a larger crowd.
For more information and to get an application contact: Susan at 425-652-1259 or scbressler@comcast.net (email preferred) or Linda at 206-772-4010.

Thank You for 3 Great Years!
Thank you to all our amazing customers and supports for supporting happy delusions for the past 3 years. It truly has been an incredible journey that continues to change my life everyday. The Renton community has been great and I couldn’t have asked for better customers. My family, friends, community, and all around support group have really helped push me up to be a better person, citizen, and business owner. I honestly could not have done it without all these factors. Without this journey, that is still just beginning, I wouldn’t have met all the wonderful talented people in the area. I wouldn’t have grown in my relationship with my parents in the way I have. I wouldn’t have met and fallen in love with the most wonderful man, who happened to open a coffee shop next door, Liberty Cafe. I have had the opportunity to connect with my neighborhood, and community on a level I never thought possible. And I’ve started being almost something like a responsible adult. Yikes! And AWESOME! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. Please do come by and say hello, and pick up your FREE happy delusions glow in the dark keychain, as our humble Thank you gift for 3 years down, and many many more to come. And while your at it, please on online and vote for us “Best Gift Shop in Western Washington” by King 5, Evening Magazine, Best of Western Washington.
