T’was the night before Christmas and all though the house not a creature was stirring except for me sneakin back in my bedroom window after a night of hoot hollerin fun! So it should be no surprise when I get a bag full of coal once again from ol’ Saint Nick. This year, Santa has grown a little nicer. He’s put out St. Nick’s Coal, bubble gum. Now you can be naughty and still get something nice. Right on!

X-Mas Sugar Skulls!

So here we have a classic sugar skull, with a little holiday cheer. Of course Alison did some more classic looking ones as well, but these ornaments are just too too cool. And the smell of sweet sugar just adds that element of tradition and classic crafting to the table. These all have a felted backing so it’s easy to display tabletop, or you can hang them from the hook also added to the backing. Just remember that although these are made from real sugar, you do not want to eat them! They have been sprayed and glorified and are meant for viewing pleasure only.
Halloween Treat’s not Trick’s

Candy, suckers, signs, and more at happy delusions. Mrs. Magoo & Lou have all your seasonal items, so you can stand out as the Martha Stewart of your neighborhood. Give the kids something more that truly says “Hey, your special.” Pictured above is my favorite of their items right now. Frankenstein candy bags. This is what I’ll be giving my niece on Halloween. Only a couple more days to stock up, them these lovely ladies will switch out their ghoulish treats for some Thanksgiving blessings, and Christmas fun.
Christmas is coming
It seems as though everyone is really keeping a close eye on their money this holiday season. I am too, which is why I made sure to spread out getting my gifts over the last couple of months, so it wouldn’t hit my pocketbook so hard. I’m all done and it feels great. For those of you who have yet to being come on down and say hello. We have gifts for any size budget. Here is a sample of some of the fun holiday items we carry.
These holly plates we get from Linda every year are a huge hit, and usually go pretty fast. She has mugs, plates, bowls, and votive holders all in the green with holly. Perfect for any holiday event. My Mom is big into baths, so I always get her cute holiday themed bubble bath. The mitten up top is one of my favorites. And of course, the classic “holy toast” makes me laugh every time. And who can go wrong with some Jesus Rocks, bubble gum. Tinsel tape is what one must stock up on when getting ready to mail any gift off the a stocked recipient. Then there’s the beautiful hand painted crosses with words of Love and Peace written on each. The ribbon tree in a cup is just too cute not to mention. The price range on all the starts as little as $1.50, and goes up to $35.00, So you see, something for everyone. So come on in and remember to shop local.
Church Mice
Growing up my parents always did a great job decorating and getting my Sister and I into the holiday spirit. One of my favorite decorations, what I thought were toys at the time, were these church mice. We had a whole bunch that my parents bought at the church bazaar. Just a couple every year, and soon they had a whole choir of them. My Mom decided this year it was time to make some more. She looked them over, figured it out, and started her own production line of church mice. Mom has always been like that. Definitely the most talented crafter in the family. I guess years of teaching kindergarten will do that to you. Now I have a ton of Mice in the shop just waiting to go home to sing silent night to you (no seriously, the lyrics to “Silent Night” are really printed on their choir books). They each come with a scroll with the legend of the church mouse on it. Super cute and a perfect addition to any Christmas home.
