Ah Novembeard. The slightly less well known cousin of Mustache March, and also two of my favorite months. Yes I believe it has something to do with all the fun hairy faces men, and yes sometimes women too, running around with awesome facial hair. Here’s to you Novembeard.

Skymagenta
This lady is incredible! I just bought this crochet blow-dryer and curling iron patterns from her etsy shop. Skymagenta who resides in Malaysia has an array of off the wall patterns. From a fan to a sewing machine. She’s totally radical man. She has a quote on her website stating that Skymagenta is all about being creative and crafty where all the thinkable and unthinkable things are made. I love that. We just had a new hair salon and spa move into the neighborhood, Bianco Salon and Spa, and they are the sweetest ladies, so I decided I had to make them something to welcome them to the block. That’s were my search began. Ending when I found this perfect pattern. I will post more photo’s as I progress and finish the masterpiece. Happy crocheting everyone.
Crochet Ice Cream!
Cupcake Crystal serves up some crochet ice cream. Yummy! I found this pattern on my favorite yarn site, Ravelry. I modified the pattern and created some cute rattles for my nephews first birthday. They were a huge hit. Click here to get the original pattern published in Bruised Weasel’s Sketchbook. Not that it takes much for anyone to be tempted to eat anything Crystal hands them, these are display only. No eating please.
Hedgehog needle holder
I Just found this RAD needle holder on Crafty Crafty. It is an original design by knitter and designer Rosemary Haddon. She calls it her very prickly hedgehog. This super out does my lame O twirly needle holder. I can’t find too much info. as far as a pattern or more links to Rosemary’s work, but if you want to know more about her and what she’s doing, keep an eye out for knitting in fashion as she attended the Winchester School of Art, and from the articles and photos I’ve been seeing, she did pretty well. Keep it up Rosemary!
Oh, and Stitch & Bitch starts today (as every Sunday) at 1pm. See you shiz-knitter!

Crochet Octopus
If anyone happened to be in the shop during the month of December, you most likely saw me working on this amazing crochet Octopus for my parental units. Finishing it just in time for Christmas and received with an overwhelming reception. Sweet. So many of you have asked to see the finished project. So here you go. I got the design from Ravelry, and it’s a personal design of Vox Mortumm. It was very time-consuming but not incredible hard, just tedious. Enjoy the photo’s and please feel free to post and share any cr

Black Widow Headband
Don’t be alarmed! That is not a real Black Widow on Crystals head. It’s the most amazing headband I’ve ever made! Cupcake Crystal just happen’s to be the inspiration and perfect model for the thing. For those of you who don’t know I’ve been somewhat of a crocheting fool these days being that it’s new and exciting and a change of pace from my normal knitting routine.
More like this will soon be available at happy delusions, so please stay tuned. And a special thanks to Lady P of the Picaroon for the wonderful photo’s of my creation. Thanks Lady P.

Monica Burnett Hats

funky coolness
Monica Burnett found me by way of handmade galleries in Sherman Oaks. It would be an understatement to say I was thrilled to have her hats in my shop. They are up there as being some of the funkiest things I’ve ever scene. Each one made for the individual who has no problem expressing themselves. There is no way you can where one of these bad boys and not feel like a total rock star. Monica’s hip ware’s have been scene in such shows as “Zoey 101″ and featured in a number of magazines. For more info. on that and to see more of the hats and headbands check out her website at www.monicaburnetthats.com, her blog at www.monicaburnett.blogspot.com, or her myspace at www.myspace.com/monicaburnetthats. You will be so happy you did.

Talented and cute.
