Discover what all the buzz is about in Renton! The 6th Annual Downtown Renton Art & Antique Walk livens up Downtown’s streets with paintings, multi-media, pottery, sculpture, crafts and photography displays from over 100 local artists. Meet the artists, explore the antiques, enjoy live music and dance performances and rediscover Downtown Renton. Exhibits and performances mostly along S 3rd. Plentiful free parking.

What’s new for the 2011 Renton Art and Antique Walk

The Piazza Park (S 3rd & Burnett Ave S) will be the site of a cultural arts fair with live entertainment and artwork. For more information to participate in this great event, please contact Linda at jmidbk@aol.com.

So you’ve been with that special someone for a while now and they don’t need anymore jewelry, chocolates, or flowers. Do something different this year. Give the gift of art. A piece of art says more. Something like I know I’m gonna be around and we should start our art collection together. How sweet is that. We have some lovely photography as well ranging from flowers to landscape. Not to mention all the great cards for the occasion that really are mini pieces of art themselves.

Naughty or Nice?

T’was the night before Christmas and all though the house not a creature was stirring except for me sneakin back in my bedroom window after a night of hoot hollerin fun! So it should be no surprise when I get a bag full of coal once again from ol’ Saint Nick. This year, Santa has grown a little nicer. He’s put out St. Nick’s Coal, bubble gum. Now you can be naughty and still get something nice. Right on!

Candy, suckers, signs, and more at happy delusions. Mrs. Magoo & Lou have all your seasonal items, so you can stand out as the Martha Stewart of your neighborhood.  Give the kids something more that truly says “Hey, your special.” Pictured above is my favorite of their items right now. Frankenstein candy bags. This is what I’ll be giving my niece on Halloween. Only a couple more days to stock up, them these lovely ladies will switch out their ghoulish treats for some Thanksgiving blessings, and Christmas fun.

handmade Julz

Julie is an amazing jeweler whose stuff I love so much. She used super cute and funky images and puts them behind glass, then wire wraps them into necklaces, bracelets, and rings. The wire she uses is so nice and brite and gives each peice an extra shine. The mushroom is my fav. Big surprise there.

Yes, I went to the concert last night at the Tacoma Dome and it was worth every penny! What a great time. I’ve never been around so many grown women who were screaming like they were 13. I saw the new kids 18 years ago with the same two lovely ladies I went with last night. How cool are we that we still hang out after all this time. I have the best friends ever and FYI, everyone wanted to be us last night. We were the only people I saw in full on shirts sporting our favorite new kid. Everyone loved it. Everyone was reliving their youth. And everyone was having the best time.
